Local Service & Community

Systems & AI for Local Service & Community Organizations

Serve More People

Salons, gyms, churches, nonprofits, youth programs, and community orgs across the PNW. Two very different ICPs — commercial service and mission-driven — both running on duct tape. We respect the difference and build for both.

What We See in Your Industry

These patterns show up again and again in businesses like yours.

Phones and inboxes overflow at certain seasons — enrollment, registration, events — and you can't keep up
No clear system for applications, enrollment, or follow-ups — people slip through the cracks
Staff are stretched thin between program delivery, admin work, and answering the same questions over and over
Funding and stability depend on reputation, consistency, and being organized — but you're barely holding it together
Volunteers and part-time staff change frequently, and there's no onboarding system to get them up to speed
You know technology could help, but you don't have the budget for enterprise tools or the time to figure them out

Two Sides of the Same Block

We serve commercial service businesses and mission-driven community orgs. The playbook adapts. Below: 90 days on each side, blended into a single before/after view.

Before
  • Community: 200-member church tracked donors in a spreadsheet; new visitor follow-up missed about 60% of the time in the first 7 days
  • Community: Volunteer scheduling lived on text chains and a paper sheet on the foyer table
  • Service: 5-chair salon's front desk handled 25 calls a day mid-cut, missing peak-hour bookings
  • Service: Sunday no-shows ate into the highest-margin day of the week with no recovery system
After 90 Days
  • Community: Donor follow-up automated within 24 hours of every gift; 6-touchpoint warm-welcome sequence for visitors over 30 days; 3x increase in second visits
  • Community: Volunteer scheduling now lives in the CRM with shift confirmations, reminders, and no-show tracking
  • Service: AI front desk handles 18 of 25 calls — books, reschedules, and answers FAQs without interrupting stylists
  • Service: No-show reminders cut Sunday no-shows by 40%; front desk back to human-led, not human-overwhelmed

Same architecture, two ICPs. The Discovery audit chooses where to start based on your biggest bottleneck.

How Tusk Helps Your Business

Our AI agents are trained to understand the specific challenges of your industry.

Volunteer & Staff Coordination

Track sign-ups, availability, certifications, and engagement levels. Automate scheduling and flag when key volunteers are at risk of burning out.

Donor & Supporter Intelligence

Monitor donation patterns, identify recurring vs one-time donors, and flag renewal opportunities. Know who to thank and who to re-engage.

Program Impact Measurement

Aggregate attendance, completion rates, feedback, and outcomes. Surface what's working and what needs adjustment — backed by data, not guesswork.

Community Engagement Scoring

Analyze participation patterns and sentiment across programs. Identify highly engaged members to champion and at-risk ones to re-engage.

Enrollment & Registration Automation

Streamline your intake process with automated forms, confirmation messages, waitlist management, and follow-up sequences for incomplete applications.

Grant & Reporting Readiness

Keep your data organized so grant applications and impact reports practically write themselves. Track metrics funders actually care about.

Plugs Into the Tools You Already Run

We don't replace your booking, giving, or member-management stack — we connect to it. Direct API where supported, lightweight bridges where not.

Questions Community Orgs and Local Service Owners Actually Ask

Budget, privacy, bilingual reach, and volunteer logistics — the real concerns we get on every call.

We're a nonprofit on a tight budget. Does this work for us?+
Yes. We have a scaled tier built specifically for nonprofits and small community orgs. We won't sell you enterprise tools you don't need. The Discovery audit will tell you honestly whether the ROI works at your size — if it doesn't, we'll say so.
How do you handle donor and member data privacy?+
Scoped credentials, role-based access, and full activity logs. We don't store payment information ourselves — that stays with your giving platform (Tithe.ly, Donorbox, Square, etc.). Your donor and member data stays yours, and you can revoke our access at any time.
Half our community speaks Spanish. Can it handle that?+
Yes. EN and ES out of the box for voice, text, forms, and email sequences. We can extend to additional languages on request. Our team runs end-to-end bilingually, so we'll train your staff in both languages too.
Will it work with our church management software?+
We integrate with the major systems — Planning Center, ChurchCo, EasyTithe, Tithe.ly, and others. If you're on a smaller platform, we'll evaluate during Discovery whether direct integration or a lightweight bridge makes more sense.
Can it help with volunteer scheduling?+
Yes. Volunteer scheduling lives inside the CRM — shift sign-ups, automated reminders, no-show tracking, and confirmations. Same system handles staff and volunteer rotations so you're not running two tools.
Can we cancel anytime?+
Yes. No multi-year contracts. Monthly plans are month-to-month. If we're not earning the spend, you should be free to walk — and we're confident enough in the work that we operate that way.
